Eligibility & Requirements:
The candidates must have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Having excellent English spoken & oral skills. Experience an asset. So, applicants must possess the following skills;
- Operate manual/ automatic flame-cutting equipment
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing & soldering equipment
- Also, interpret welding process specifications i.e fit, braze & straighten metal
- Determine weldability of materials
- Operate oxygen arc-cutting equipment arc-air, AOC, etc
- Moreover, operate welding machines to fabricate/ repair metal parts & products
- Operate set-up brazing machines to bond metal/ to fill holes
- Read & interpret welding blueprints, drawing specifications, manuals & processes
- Examine welds & ensure the standard specifications
- Knowledge about custom fabrication, cast iron & truck repair
- Knowledge about welding techniques i.e. resistance, spot/ seam, shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Plasma arc welding (PAW), Submerged arc welding (SAW), Gas Metal arc welding (GMAW), etc.
- Effective interpersonal skills are required
- Work as a Team player
